Although it was the first act, the interest in participation overtook our expectations and particularly the positive reactions and final evaluation were very satisfying.

Over the course of the two days the international conference focused on “Historical connections of crises, crisis management, critical systems, security.” The consultancy company ITEG was the silver partner of the conference with more than 150 registered participants in this event widely observed in professional circles.
Among others, K. Also Ing. Josef Šustr, senior consultant of ITEG, who has chosen a very topical theme of the risk analysis, appeared with his contribution “Risk analyses of information systems as critical infrastructure elements”. From wide selection of possible methodological approaches he presented FRAP methodology as one of simple but also efficient ways of risk analysis in complicated implementation environments.
ITEG has participated in regular series of expert seminars for Information Technologies students from Faculty of Mechatronics.
The Project Managment course attended by 2008/2009 students included discussions on current topics and presenting experience from the company’s projects. The obejctive was to give the students the idea how project managment works in practise. Students have taken part in workshops and excersises, in which they could confront the results of their work with the pocedures that were used in real projects.
Project Managment Conference 2009: Security and Risks was taking place in Zlín from March 25th to 26th. For the second time it was hosted by students of Tomas Bata University, which were helped by expert co-hosts. The standard of the event was again very high, the conference fulfilled all expectations.
To sum it up the conference did not come up with anything revolutionary new, nevertheless it was a varied, interesting and absorbing mosaic. The projects are naturally risky (they are demanding, unusual, unique). Both common sense and recommended time-tested practise advise to indetify the risks first and then analyze them and remember them while managing the project. Nobody doubted this at the conference and so then we were presented several consultant companies’ approaches to this problems, interesting facts from various fields and also speeches on relating topics.
