Brief Description

Police Presidium put through a very demanding project named Contact and Coordination Centres, which was financed with structural funds in the integrated operational program.

After the new law concerning the Police had come into effect, the whole orgnaizational structure of the Police significantly changed. It was necessary to revise the receiver in order to preserve the objectives of the project and thus make it realizable in the new legislative conditions.

The project was interrupted and divided into more individual projects according to new receivers of the subsidies.

Currently seven projects are being realized. Drawing the subsidies accords with the legal code of Czech Republic.

Further Information

In the Police Presidium Contact and Coordination Centres Project major problems emerged in the course of its execution. Basically they prevented the project from ending with success and also precluded gaining the subsidy. Law no.273/2008 Sb. about the Police of Czech Republic, which had come to existence after Police Presidium presented the project application, established (according to §8 or more its later modifications) separate regional directories. All the property of the Police was assigned to these subjects of law. According to Czech legal code it is not possible for an organizational component of state to buy property for another organizational state component. Therefore it was necessary to stop the project and divide it into seven separate parts.

EU Competence Centre helped Police Presidium- a subsidy claimant to negotiate a premature terminating of the project, redo the project in order to make it usable for new regional police directories and also to apply for the subsidy again.

Conclusion

Praktical knowledge of structural funds implementation made the realization of the project possible even in new altered legal circumstances.
