Brief Description
Department of information and communication technologies (ICT) of the Ministry of Agriculture launches every year many projects. The number of projects and also the number of people involved is very high. It was necessary to establish a coherent system of rules to manage the projects effectively.
The objective of the Portfolio Managment Conception was to create a coherent methodical framework and a multiproject portfolio, which would respect the specific conditions of the ministry or state administration.
Notable increase in project managment effectivity was defintely a contribution. Information about the projects were centralized, data about the state of the individual projects are now transparent, the quality of reporting increased.

The ICT Department of Ministry of Agriculture manages a great number of projects in which the workers of ministry participate with the people from outside. This makes it more dificult for the managment, particularly communication must not be neglected. That is why the need of a coherent methodical framework and multiproject portfolio arose. Then it was necessary to implement them.
The first step of ITEG was creating a coherent methodical framework for project managment and multiproject portfolio, which respected specific environment of state administration. Internal processes of client‘s company were adapted to thess methodologies. Next steps were launching the individual tools for information consolidation. The rules of complex reporting were set including setting the relations between the projects.
Launching the methodical framework contributed to setting coherent system of rules and also to standardization of project managment. That ensured coherent project managment and most notably respecting the internal processes of Ministry of Agriculture, which are essential for the fluent realization and subsequent support of implemented systems.
