Brief Description

Client, a prominent provider of marketing and multimedia services, was facing budget problems and problems with keeping deadlines. It also seemed that the client would not be able to finish all the intended projects.

After preliminary consulting and analytical phase ITEG expert team focused on determining the existing state and causes leading to troubles with managing the client‘s projects. Subsequently a contributive project managment methodology was proposed and created.

Project definitely was a contribution for both the managment and the staff, who are now able to use a well-working methodical framework pro project managment. The project also helped to increase the satisfaction and trust of the client’s clients.

Company provides complex services on the internet/intranet/extranet, custom-made software development, multimedia, design, 3D modelling and animations. It is a prominent Czech internet marketing supplier.

The problem was, that the basic rules for managing the projects were not defined, demanded and respected. Most internal procedures and processes had not been formalized. In most cases the projects were being managed unsystematically without any methodical support.

Project manager was using only his personal knowledge and experience in carrying out the neededactivities, there was no coherent approach to project managment, the triple imperative (time, money, quality) was not respected.

In the first part the client was provided with consulting and analytical services orientated on determining the state and the causes of problems of the company’s project managment. A revision of all activities connected to the life cycle of typal projects was carried out. The consulting services were then extended by a real project support of the managers, its objective - a quick rectification. The cooperation climaxed by creating a methodology tailored to the needs of specific project managment of this copmany and by improving the internal processes including setting the rules.

Employees manage the projects with the support of a methodical framework, which they themselves think needful. Project respect the demands of clients, which leads to strenghtening the trust.

Management of the company now disposes of current overview of all projects, financial situation the company’s resources.
